About

Annie Couch is an oil painter whose work captures the landscapes of the Appalachian Mountains. Inspired by time spent hiking through the Great Smoky Mountains and along the Blue Ridge Parkway, she paints the shifting light, mist, and atmosphere that make these landscapes feel both familiar and fleeting. Her work explores the space between the landscape we see and the way it makes us feel, inviting viewers into quiet, reflective moments shaped by memory, place, and wonder.

Annie discovered her love of art at an early age, captivated by the way light and color could capture the world’s beauty. She studied Political Science with a minor in Studio Art at the University of Notre Dame before earning her JD from the University of Tennessee.

Raised in the East Tennessee, Annie now resides in Western North Carolina with her husband and beloved dog, Ravioli.
